Focus and scope

Revista Cerrados is a publication in continuous flow of the Postgraduate Program in Geography linked to the Department of Geosciences of the State University of Montes Claros - Unimontes, which seeks to publish scientific papers of interest to geographic science and related areas.

The objective of this journal is to expand the dissemination of the works of professors / researchers from Brazilian and international institutions, originating from thesis, dissertation and institutionalized and / or funded research projects, following ethical principles and scientific rigors.

The editorial team of Revista Cerrados receives, evaluates and publishes - in case of acceptance - articles in four languages ​​(Portuguese, English, French and Spanish). In this journal, the policies for the selection and publication of articles are established by the editorial objectives, in line with the recommendations of the editorial teams, ethics and good practices in the publication process.

 

History of Revista Cerrados 

The Revista Cerrados was created by Resolution nº 110 / 15-10-2002, approved by the Teaching, Research and Extension Council - CEPEx, State University of Montes Claros - UNIMONTES. In 2003, the first edition was published. From 2003 to 2015, Revista Cerrados was published on an annual basis and in print format, except for the 2015 Edition, which was published in electronic format.

Since 2016, the editions were published every six months (January to June and July to December) and in digital format (Available at Portal de Periódicos - UNIMONTES). The Revista Cerrados was indexed in several databases and DOIs (Digital Object Identifier) were assigned to all published articles. The Editorial Team of Revista Cerrados works for the quality and diversity of published scientific works.
