Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Educação Matemática Debate, eISSN 2526-6136, publishes unpublished articles in Portuguese, English or Spanish that discuss and present answers to educational phenomena related to Mathematics Education. Texts in English may be translated into Portuguese and published in the same issue. We only accept material produced by professors/researchers and which contain results of research. Submissions of papers are continuous, no processing fee, and publication is free. The LOCKSS and CLOKSS system is used to ensure safe and permanent archiving of the EMD cache.

The article submitted must express significant relevance and contribution of research in the field of Mathematics Education, carried out by researchers who produce knowledge in different lines and trends related to the field. The following are not accepted for publication: i) articles that are State of the Art research reports, Bibliographic Survey, Mapping or similar; and ii) article that is an experience report or practice report.

ON THE SUBMISSION OF ORIGINAL ARTICLE

(1) The article must have a maximum of three authors.

(2) At least one of the authors must have a doctorate as a title;

(3) The authors are responsible for all syntactic, spelling and bibliographical corrections, as well as the revision of typing, since, if approved, the article will be published in the way it was sent;

(4) Corrections in writing, creativity in the theoretical and methodological approach of the text, clarity and relevance of the style of writing are questions of evaluation by reviewers;

(5) The contents of the signed articles are the sole responsibility of the authors and do not express the opinion of the Editors nor of the Editorial Board;

(6) The original article should be submitted in CEGA VERSION (without any identification of the authors) through the OJS Platform;

(7) The submission of articles for regular editions has a continuous flow of receipt and processing. For dossiers there are specific calls for articles (call for papers);

RULES FOR THE ELABORATION OF ARTICLE

(8) The text of the article must be prepared according to the template (Portuguese ou Spanish), with a minimum of 7 thousand and a maximum of 9 thousand words — or a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 20 pages — respecting the details and examples.

(9) The current ABNT standards for academic production should be followed.

(10) Annexes, appendices and other supplementary documents to the article will not be published.
