Educação Matemática Debate uses the Creative Commons license. A new publication of the paper published in the EMD, on the initiative of its authors or of third parties, is subject to the express mention of the precedence of its publication in this periodical, citing the edition and date of that publication. Authors who publish in EMD agree to the following terms:

  • The Editorial Board reserves the right to make, in the originals, normative, syntactic, spelling and bibliographic changes with a view to maintaining the cultured standard of the language, respecting, however, the style of the authors. Final evidence may or may not be sent to authors.

  • Authors maintain the copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY-NC-SA).

  • Authors are authorized to take additional contracts separately, for non-exclusive distribution of the version of the work published in this magazine, for example: publish in institutional repository or as chapter of book, with acknowledgment of authorship and initial publication in EMD.

  • Authors are allowed and encouraged to publish and distribute their work online — in institutional repositories, personal page, social network or other sites of scientific dissemination.
