DARCY RIBEIRO: THE LITERATURE AS REFLECTION ON EXILE

Abstract

The loss of the sense of self once stabled as an integrated subject has been causing
displacement and decentralization of the individual. It's understandable that constant mobility and how
migrations, forced or not, contribute to this situation. Nowadays we consequently notice a significant
change in the concepts of identity and subjectivity. In this regard it is argued that since the turn of the
19th century, the human being has been witnessing a slow process of fragmentation and fragility of
their subjectivity as the subject of self and their history. In this article we'll seek to discuss these issues
through the approach of the books O mulo, Confissões, Migo e Testemunho, by Darcy Ribeiro.
