Presentation

Revista Desenvolvimento Social (RDS) is an electronic journal linked to the Graduate Program in Social Development of the State University of Montes Claros (PPGDS / Unimontes).

Created in 2008, the magazine aims to publish articles, dossiers, essays, interviews, reviews and other formats of academic texts that present theoretical approaches and empirical experiences on the impacts and controversies of social development in different contexts.

As of 2020, each edition will have a thematic dossier in order to contemplate the interests of the Graduate Program in Social Development at Unimontes and also to enable exchanges between researchers linked to different institutions and regions.

RDS prioritizes the publication of original contributions from research carried out within the scope of the Interdisciplinary area of CAPES. Submissions from disciplinary areas are also accepted, especially based on investigations on themes that are dear to the Human and Social Sciences.

Contributions are received in a continuous stream. The Editorial Committee is responsible for assessing the adequacy of the proposal to the RDS editorial line and checking whether the formatting of the text is in accordance with the rules made available. The magazine also counts on the collaboration of external reviewers, who, in a double-blind style, evaluate the quality and relevance of the submissions based on their originality and their theoretical and methodological constructions.

The journal is published every six months and receives texts in Portuguese, Spanish, English and French. To submit works, the author must have a minimum master's degree. It should be noted that RDS offers free access to its content.
