Abstract

The mitical thought doesn‟t opposite the nature over the man dominance, but it takes the
indigenous comunities into an equilibrated relation with the environment. The goal of
this paper is to take in discussion about mitical narratives elaborated by an indigenous
Maxakali comunity, in the Northeast of Minas Gerais State, Brazil. We perceive that the
indigenous explain their knowledge by the mitical thought to respond to the universal
inquiries. We understand that the social relations are reflected in the mitical simbology,
so some mitical narratives are registraded in books and others conserved in the speach.
The Maxakali world visions, presented in the form of simbols in the mitical narratives,
are consequently detected in the grupal social relations and also within the man and the
nature.
