THE STRUGGLE FOR RECOGNITION OF CONCEPT APPLICATION IN HEALTH

Abstract

The struggle for recognition of Honneth (2003) has on interpersonal relations of the
subjects the basis for its theoretical construction. Understand how to give the
interpersonal relationships among individuals, identifying situations of conflict, moral
tension points, situations of disrespect that motivate actions of individuals is of great
importance for studies of the social sciences. Through this study it was the application
of the theory of recognition Honneth (2003) in the health field and the importance of
this theory for studies in health sciences. Through integrative review methodology were
extracted 6 articles that addressed the topic. It was found that there is an effort of
researchers in the area know and apply the theory of struggle for recognition,
considering the sociological gain it presents in its empirical application. But you can
still enjoy more fully the contributions of this theory in health research.
