Abstract

Domestic violence has grown significantly, making it the subject of theoretical and
philosophical debates and ethical-political questions. In the scenario of violence against 

women, domestic violence plays an important role, since it is a significant cause of
morbidity and mortality in women, as well as compromisingthe school ifeofchildren.
Thus, considering the implications of domestic violence in
women'slivesandschooldevelopmentofchildrenwhoexperiencethispractice in the family
environment and the demand for health services for the sevictims, this study presents
some considerations about this kind of violence and describes how the physical and
psychological consequences caused by it in order to contribute to the debate this subject
in the areas of health and education.
