Abstract: The present article, in a systematic way, brings a bibliographic review about educational evaluation within the diagnostic evaluation´s perspective, presented by a description of the concept of evaluation, the presentation of an evaluation instrument of rubric and the exemplification about the important contribution of a reliable instrument for the inquiry of solidified and unsatisfactory learnings. Also, presents different authors who corroborate theoretically for the elucidation of the theme and brings contributions for an equitable reflection about educational evaluation. It is expected that the evaluative instrument of rubric becomes a gain to the educator´s instrumentalization, versing over the verification of its elaborated contents and about the analysis over how the student finds himself regarding their own proficiency and, with that, can help in the way feedback is given to the students, in order to identify and correct routes so that an educational improvement can be established.
