The present study aims to verify the motivational factors for the practice of street running. This is a cross-sectional, descriptive study. The sample consisted of 90 street runners with a mean age of 41.12 ± 12.12 years, 28 males and 62 females. Responders are a model for studying related questions. Descriptive analysis was used to characterize a sample. Categorical variables were in the form of absolute frequency and relative frequency. It was evidenced that the total objective of 161 answers, 36.35% corresponded to others, where the majority highlighted a health promotion, 30.43% to the total physical conditioning objective and 20.50% weight loss. Other goals reported by volunteers include competition (4.97%), increased muscle strength (3.11%), muscle hypertrophy (2.48%) and muscle definition (1.86%). Considering the totality of the answers, 132 (81.99%) refer to the perception of complete improvement by the volunteers, according to their respective motivations. It is concluded that the main motivational factors for the practice of the weight loss race were reported in the street of health promotion, physical and physical conditioning.
