Abstract

The study aims to report the experience of nurses in the care of cancer patients in palliative care using integrative practices. This is an experience report on the implementation of nursing care for cancer patients using integrative practices in the light of the peaceful end-of-life theory, in a philanthropic Hospital in Alagoas, from December 2020 to March 2021. whether therapeutic massage and music therapy practices and the results were related to concepts of not being in pain, experience of comfort, experience of respect/dignity and proximity to people who care. The experience provided an opportunity to use integrative practices as a tool for humanized care. It is noted that the theory can be applied in the systematization of nursing care for cancer patients in palliative care.
