Abstract

Objective: To map the scientific evidence on risk factors and severity associated with paternal postpartum depression. Method: This is a scoping review protocol using the methodological guide of the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Reviewer's Manual for Scoping Reviews and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews. For the selection of studies, the inclusion criteria will be: quantitative and qualitative articles, in all languages, with no publication deadline. The searches will be carried out in the databases: Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Excerpta Médica Database, Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System, Scopus and Web of Science. Rayyan® will be used to select the data, a tool provided by JBI will be used to extract the data, and the data will be grouped into related themes. The protocol is on the Open Science Framework® platform under registration: https://doi.org/10.17605/OSF.IO/SRYG2.
