REFLECTIONS ON DOMESTIC ADOLESCENT WORK IN THE STATE OF TOCANTINS

Abstract

This article seeks to share some reflections on domestic adolescent work focusing on the reality expressed in the state of Tocantins. Taking as an instrument the bibliographical and documentary research, we seek to analyze the conceptualization and the fundamentals that refer to the practice of adolescent domestic work in Brazil and its particularity in the newest state of the North Region. With the elaborations that we highlight here, we intend to point out how this type of work remains naturalized in the life history of countless adolescents, especially those of the female implying in a deep context of violations of rights, but also the efforts destined to combat this activity and the strengthening of the protection and promotion of the rights of children.
