Philodendron adamantinum (Araceae): Perfil Bioativo de Espécie Endêmica

Objetivos: Realizar estudos histoquímicos, fitoquímicos e quantificar flavonoides totais, avaliar a atividade antimicrobiana e antioxidante das folhas de Philodendron adamantinum (Araceae) espécie rupícola, endêmica da Cadeia do Espinhaço de Minas Gerais. Metodologia: Prospecção histoquímica foi realizada com o material a fresco, e triagem fitoquímica a partir de folhas secas, submetidas à extração hidroalcóolica, seguido de partição com diclorometano e acetato de etila. Foram realizadas: quantificação de flavonoides totais; capacidade antioxidante pelo ensaio do radial livre DPPH; avaliação da atividade antimicrobiana em cinco linhagens de micro-organismos patogênicos (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Sthaphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Candida albicans), pelo método de difusão em disco impregnados com 10 µL do extrato hidroalcoólico dissolvido em dimetilsufóxido (DMSO). Resultados: A triagem fitoquímica demonstrou a presença de alcaloides e flavonoides. O teor de flavonoides foi de 51,43 (±0,022) mgEqR/g. Na fração acetato de etila foi observada elevada capacidade antioxidante (EC50= 13,9 µg/mL ± 0,003) em comparação as demais frações e extrato hidroalcóolico avaliados (extrato hidroalcóolico, partição diclorometano alcaloide e partição diclorometano flavonoide). No extrato hidroalcoólico não foi observada atividade antimicrobiana para os micro-organismos avaliados. Considerações finais: A espécie tem potencial antioxidante promissor para indústria cosmética e farmacêutica.
