The Conservation Units (UCs) are one of the main strategies of Brazilian environmental policy. However, the growing urbanization and environmental crisis are only some of the critical factors that face. Thus, it is essential to identify the presence and distribution of species to define future monitoring plans. Objective: to present a list of species of medium-large-sized and flying mammals present in the Integral Protection Units of the Parque Estadual da Lapa Grande (Montes Claros-MG), highlighting their importance in the structure of urban conservation areas. Methods: species of bats were recorded by means of mist nets with a sample effort of 42 days. Medium and large mammals are recorded using camera-trap with a sampling effort of 131 days. The sample completeness was analyzed by the iNEXT package calculation method. Results: we reported 581 bats, which belong to 19 species and three families. The most representative family was Phyllostomidae, with Carollia perspicillata and Artibeus planirostris being the most abundant species. Also, 349 records of medium-large mammals were obtained, classified into 19 species and seven orders, with Carnivore being the order with the largest number of records and Kerodon rupestres and Cuniculus paca, the most recorded species. In general, the species shown represent 75.28% for bats and 80.895% for medium-large mammals of the community. Conclusion: It was identified that the aforementioned conservation area has a high diversity of mammals, being ecologically and functionally important species in the structure of the community
