Resumen

Os produtos da colméia trouxeram contribuições importantes para a civilização humana, principalmente na
saúde, na alimentação e, dentre os produtos utilizados, pode-se destacar o veneno das abelhas. Alguns aspectos da
apitoxina como histórico, finalidade quanto ao uso humano e animal, reação alérgica, composição e a regulamentação
de seu uso são apresentados nesta revisão.
